Our subdivision, established in 1972, was first known as Hollydot Park.  Holland Duell (Holly) and his wife Dorothy (Dot) owned most of the land that became Hollydot Park.  Holly was in partnership with Conyers Stewart who owned what became Stewart thoroughbreds. At one time it was known as Duell and Stewart Thoroughbreds. Mr. Duell was the breeder and Mr. Stewart the trainer. Together they had a horse named Colorado City that won a number of stakes races.
